You've found Michael, I assume. I'm relieved you aren't dead, and presumably not an illusion cast by Metatron.

Michael found me, but close enough. I don't even want to know why you'd think I was an illusion of Metatron's, but I feel like I should be at least a little insulted by the idea.

I see. It likely wasn't actually you, then. I'd been curious. What's the last thing you remember from home?

[Oh boy. He's putting two and two together by this line of questioning and although he should have at least considered this possible complication, he did not. Oops.

Well, here goes anyway.]

We took a little jaunt in Apocalypse World. Went great.

[He has a sudden feeling this might meant nothing to Castiel, which could be both good and bad.]

So Lucifer wasn't lying. There's actually an Apocalypse world? Unfortunate.

Yeah, not my idea of a good time, and you know I can find a good time in just about anything.

So it seems. What is Apocalypse World? How did it become connected with ours?

Another world where the Apocalypse happened.

[Duh.]

A rift was opened up on accident, people got stuck there, so we ended up making more rifts to go get them. Other than that, as far as I know it's not any more connected to our world than any other alternate world is.

How did you and Lucifer get stuck there? How are you alive at all, Gabriel?

From what I heard, Lucifer went back and forth a few times, but I don't know or care about all the reasons why. Personally, I was there helping you and the flannel twins with the search effort.

Long story. But to make a long story short: wasn't actually dead.

Search effort for what? What did the Winchesters need in the Apocalypse World?

I'd gathered that part already, thank you.

Mary and Jack. Apparently they got stuck on the other side sometime when it opened earlier.

[He's... Not actually sure if Castiel might know who Jack is, with all this time stuff, but he supposes he'll find out.]

[ he knows jack, but shiiiiiit he's been avoiding mentioning mary to dean. he'll just have to edit out that bit when reporting back. ]

I see. Jack was here briefly. We didn't get much time to know each other, but he was a kind soul.

Did we find them? Mary and Jack.

[Sounds like Castiel hadn't known Jack before his arrival, so that leaves open many questions about what he might know about that subject, so Gabriel will just steer clear of that particularly drama for now.]

Didn't meet him for long myself, but seemed like a good kid.

Yeah. Found them and got them both out.

[At least there's that. Mission successful, he supposes.]

I suppose Jack met his father there. How'd that go?

He did. It was going about as well as possible; Luci was on his best behavior and so he was laying on the patented Devil charm, but there was so much going on they didn't have a whole lot of time to talk.

[And he doesn't doubt that once the shiny newness wears off, Jack will see through pretty words. If it ends up being a problem at all, anyway, since Gabriel has no idea if Lucifer actually makes it out of Apocalypse world.]
